Terms for using Tallgrass.

Keep your sign-in credentials secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity through your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe someone else accessed it.

Tallgrass is currently a beta service. Features, limits, availability, and access may change as the service develops. We may suspend or restrict access needed to protect members, operate the service, or address violations of these Terms or the Community Guidelines.

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, captions, comments, and other content you submit. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit and share that content.

You give Badland LLC permission to host, copy, prepare, analyze, transmit, and display your content only as needed to operate and provide Tallgrass. This includes creating viewing copies and thumbnails, sending the limited material described in the Privacy Notice for AI processing, and displaying resolved discoveries to signed-in members. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content. It ends when the content is deleted, subject to the backup and operational-record limits described in the Privacy Notice.

Do not use Tallgrass to break the law, violate another person's rights or privacy, threaten or harass people, exploit anyone, post prohibited sexual or hateful content, distribute scams or malware, manipulate rankings or community activity, evade service limits, or interfere with the service. The Community Guidelines give more detail about content, conduct, wildlife safety, reporting, and enforcement.

Identifications, explanations, rarity descriptions, scores, comparisons, and field-guide replies are generated with AI and may be incomplete or wrong. Verify important information with a qualified source. Do not rely on Tallgrass to decide whether something is safe to eat, touch, approach, treat, or use in an emergency. A score or label is not proof of species, authenticity, ownership, rarity, or safety.

Tallgrass may be interrupted for maintenance, provider outages, or technical problems. Account, AI, sign-in, notification, and distribution features depend on services provided by Badland, AWS, Anthropic, Google, and Apple as described in the Privacy Notice. Their applicable terms and service availability can affect those features.

You may stop using Tallgrass and delete your Tallgrass data through Profile. Deleting Tallgrass data does not delete the separate Badland account used for authentication. See the Privacy Notice for the data and retention boundaries.

For a question, complaint, or dispute about Tallgrass or these Terms, email [email protected] with the account email and enough detail for us to investigate. Do not include passwords or session codes.

We may update these Terms as Tallgrass changes. The page will show the effective date. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using Tallgrass and use the available deletion controls.
